EX operator interfaces and panel PCs now DNV certified!
All operator interfaces of the Eagle and Open HMI series by R. STAHL HMI Systems that are fitted with an Ethernet interface for TP cables now have a DNV certificate.
On request, we can now provide these interfaces with a GL or ABS certificate. Both the explosion-protected types of both series and the models for industrial areas have been certified by an independent testing laboratory to be suitable for installation onboard ships. Thanks to seawater-resistant materials, vibration-proof design and sufficient resistance to electromagnetic interference both HMI series are well suited for maritme application. Because of the rough environment, flash memory is used instead of hard disks. To view our operating and monitoring systems, please click here.

Helideck Perimeter Lighting (compliant with CAP437 and ICAO quidelines)

- Explosion proof for Zone 1 use
- Anti-glare for nighttime
- ATEX 94/9/EC approved
- Maintenance free
- Sealed for life
- Resistant to vibration, rugged construction
In line with CAP437 and ICAO regulations, helicopter landing areas will be required to install new signaling equipment. This will ensure that helicopters landing in the UK have sufficient space to do so in a safe environment.
Current problems include receiving a glare and loss of nighttime vision and difficulties viewing the actual platform in the dark when poorly illuminated. The introduction of new guidelines will force an improvement upon current conditions, ensuring that the lighting is sufficient for the area.
Perimeter lights, floodlights and illuminated windsocks are designed to give a visual indication for helicopter pilots during their approach to the helideck platform. These are also available from R. Stahl Ltd.
